If you’re visiting The Gambia for the first time then this time of year, the countryside is lush and green. Wet season is during the months of May and October.

Wet season, despite being more humid lets you see more wildlife and observe what life is like outside of the tourist season.  You’ll meet with village leaders and learn about how the WYCE project started with a special viewing of the documentary made about the project called It Takes a Village.

You’ll also get some hands on experience at either the bee-farm, school or onsite at the WYCE working lodge. You’ll be helping the local people of Madina Salam, and still have some time to see this amazing country.

Your visit will take place during the low or ‘wet season’ which lasts between May and October. Alternative ‘dry season’ dates are available here.
